Do you feel like you are confident one moment but then anxiety hits and that insecurity sets in? I have seen many of us very smart, capable and successful people start to go downhill because of our anxiety. Little by little, the anxiety starts to creep up and take over, saying lies that make confidence decrease and less joy and hope. The anxiety starts to “win” and we do less things, take less chances, maybe even start to develop depression because our confidence has decreased. We don’t have as much hope, don’t believe in ourselves as much. Has this happened to you? This is NOT what God wants.

Here are 5 ways to live with increased confidence and decreased anxiety:

  1. Talk. Don’t hide shame.
  2. Feel your feelings. Don’t push them away.
  3. If there’s a lie, find it, break it and declare the truth.
  4. Identify anything you could change or improve.
  5. Give God control and trust Him.

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind”. ~2 Timothy 1:7

You are meant to live with a sound mind, full of God’s power and love. You are to be so full of the Holy Spirit and the presence of God that everywhere you go, God leaks out and gets onto others. People are to be transformed by being around you because you are so full of the Holy Spirit.

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. ~Philippians 4:6-7
